Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department (DNRD) has recorded the highest number of travellers entering and leaving the country via Dubai International Airport, which reached 76,863 on August 15 (Friday), just after 18 days from implementing the new visa rules as per Ministerial Decision No. 322/2008.

“The new record of travellers is a positive indication that the new visa rules and regulations have been implemented to increase the number of visitors to the country,” said Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of DNRD, who thanked the passport control staff at DIA for their efforts in dealing efficiently and swiftly with the high flow of travelers and processing transactions in a timely manner.
This highest number of 76,863 travellers, recorded last Friday, broke the previous record of 75,117 travellers, which was registered on January 4, 2008.
