University of Bolton has launched a M.Sc in Construction Management degree to be offered for working executives over the weekends

The construction industry in the UAE has grown in leaps & bounds with massive projects being executed in the residential & commercial space across the UAE. Infrastructure development & planned construction continues to remain the focus of the UAE reflected clearly in the massive investments that have flowed into the real estate market.

It can be safely estimated that the UAE will continue to provide a fertile environment for the construction & real estate development industry. So while the UAE whets the appetite of the biggest players in construction, realtors & investors the demand for professionals with construction & project management expertise has also increased manifold.

Sc in Construction Management is aimed at construction/ real estate/ project professionals with or without tertiary qualifications, provided they have sufficient, relevant experience adds Raj Nambiar, Director of Admissions a the RAK campus.

University of Bolton M.Sc Construction Management students in the UAE will learn to use the latest, most appropriate management theory and information technology systems to solve industrial problems. The programme which already has the backing of employers in the UK, seeks to provide management learning that will contribute to personal career development and progression.  The programme also fulfils Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, and can enhance membership status within professional bodies and institutions which could serve as a huge advantage to professionals seeking career advancement.

Zubair Hanslot, Academic Director at the University of Bolton,’s UAE Campus maintains that “the  M. Sc Construction Management can be considered the need of the hour as far as the UAE & probably even the Middle East is considered particularly due to the mammoth projects being launched, implemented & executed by global majors in UAE”
The MCM can be completed in two years of part-time study, with most students continuing to work full time and attend classes over the weekend (s).
