MBRF offers scholarships to Arab students

In keeping with their vision of supporting Arab talents and encouraging them to benefit from existing learning opportunities in the region, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and the Dubai School of Government announced that they have reached an agreement according to which the Foundation will offer a number of scholarships to students seeking to enroll a Master of Public Administration at the Dubai School of Government.

CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Dr. Rima Khalaf, said: “In recognition of the leading role of the Dubai School of Government in building the capacity of leaders in the government sector in the Arab world, the Foundation decided to add the School to its list of educational institutions benefiting from the Pioneers program, and offer scholarships to a number of participants.” Dr. Khalaf added: “This agreement creates a comprehensive framework for our future collaboration with Dubai School of Government, as it caters for a proactive approach in which we will be informed of all the School offers. We will be acting proactively, today and in the future, in a manner that coincides with the mandate of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation related to promoting the education in the Arab world.” Dr. Khalaf praised the ambitious development plans of the Dubai School of Government, and noted that the School’s programs give the talents of the Arab world the opportunity “to broaden their knowledge and build their capacity in Dubai.”

Dean of Dubai School of Government Dr. Tarik Yousef welcomed the agreement with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, saying: “This partnership embodies the desire of both the Foundation and the Dubai School of Government to enhance knowledge in the Arab world. As part of the Foundation’s Pioneers program, it will give our students the opportunity to develop into effective and innovative leaders in the government sector in this region.” He added: “The agreements recently reached by the Dubai School of Government with the governments of Egypt and Syria, as well as other agreements to be announced soon, have encouraged us to seek a strategic partner to finance the studies of Arab talents in Dubai. We are pleased with the initiative of MBRF towards achieving this goal, as it falls under the Foundation’s mandate to interpret the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum in developing knowledge in the Arab world and encouraging Arab talents to excel and succeed.”
