Value of shares bought by institutional investors reaches AED 689.4 million during last week, and value of shares sold reached AED 1.135 billion

Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during last week   (October 26 – October 30) reached AED 1.392 billion comprising 35 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED 1.628 billion comprising 41 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached AED 235.2 million during the same period, as aggregate sell.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached AED 689.4 million comprising 17.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED 1.135 billion which constitutes 28.6 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net institutional investment on the market reached AED 445.9 million during the period. as aggregate sell.

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) was established as a public institution having its own independent corporate body. DFM operates as a secondary market for the trading of securities issued by public shareholding companies, bonds issued by the federal Government or any of the local Governments and public institutions in the country, units of investment funds and any other financial instruments, local or foreign, which are accepted by the market. The DFM commenced operations on March 26, 2000.
