The General Secretariat of Municipalities will launch from Nov. 27- March, campaign titled: “I Love Emirates” to mark the 37th national day anniversary celebrations, reported the Emirates News Agency WAM.
The campaign will be held under President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses Rulers of other UAE emirates.
Jassim Mohammed Darwish, general secretary of the secretariat of municipalities, said at a press conference held today at Bourj Al Arab that “this national campaign aims at preserving and boosting the concept of national identity through making 2008 the year of national identity”.
He added that through this campaign the UAE nationals and expatriates will be allowed to express their allegiance to the country through participation in the awareness projects that serve local community- such as guide in consumption of energy, preservation of environment, respect of traffic laws and others.
