The Foreign Ministry has advised UAE citizens currently living in Pakistan or India, or those intending to visit either of the two countries, to contact UAE embassies and consulates there and give their contact details, including residence and telephone numbers, to make it easier for the missions’ staff to reach them, an official source said today according the official news agency WAM.

“This precautionary measure stems from the Foreign Ministry’s keenness to ensure the well being of UAE citizens abroad and to make sure that enough information about them is available to provide necessary assistance when need arises,” the source added.

The UAE has embassies in New Delhi and Islamabad, plus consulates in Mumbai and Karachi.
