Olympic standards swimming pools for the sports club

Dubai Municipality has set up the training swimming pools in a number of the Dubai sport clubs at cost AED47 million, reported the official news agency WAM.

The project includes the closed and air conditioned swimming facilities, stretching at land area of 9500 metres each. They were designed as per the Olympic standards. The swimming pools also include grandstands with a capacity of 300 spectators, as well as administrative and service offices, parking lots and others.

The project comes in line with the endeavours of Deputy Dubai Ruler and Minister of Finance HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to boost the sport clubs and develop sports in Dubai emirate.

Engineer Hussein Lootah, director general of the civic body said the world-class project, which was conducted in the Al Nasr, Al Wasl and Al Shabab clubs, is an integral part of the projects that aim at achieving welfare and good living conditions for the UAE nationals and expatriates as well.
