There is a free daily competition for anyone who visits Khan Murjan, to discover the location of ‘The Khan Murjan Door’. It is hidden in the many alleys and passageways of the souk to allow shoppers to find the door whilst appreciating the rich architectural detail of the souk and entering the draw to secure the prize. Throughout DSF Khan Murjan offers daily demonstrations from a variety of international skilled craftsmen such as a carpet weaver from Iran, a wood engraver from Morocco and a glass blower from Egypt; plus exciting Tanoura dancers from Egypt and musical entertainers from Syria from 12noon until 10pm.
