Dubai’s Roads ‘&’ Transport Authority (RTA) opens today (Saturday 04/04/2009) Phase IV of Jumeirah Lakes Towers Interchange (Interchange 5.5) on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The Project provides a passage to motorists driving through Sheikh Zayed Road from Abu Dhabi towards Dubai Marina, and from Ibn Battuta Mall as well as the Gardens towards Dubai ‘&’ Dubai Marina.
“The Project will provide direct access to several key projects in the vicinity such as Dubai Marina, and Jumeirah Beach Residence. Given its intake of 60,000 vehicles per day, the Project is set to reduce congestion considerably,” said CEO of RTA Traffic ‘&’ Roads Agency Engineer Maitha bin Adai.
She added: “RTA will continue with the phased opening of the Project, the last of which was opened last December providing passage to motorists driving across Sheikh Zayed Road towards Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Jumeirah Islands, and in the opposite direction towards Dubai Marina ‘&’ Dubai through Sheikh Zayed Road.
