UAE Minister of Economy to honour DSES winners on Tuesday

dses-logoUnder the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, His Excellency Engineer Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, will honour the winners of the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DSES) 2008 – 2009 at a ceremony organized by the Department of Economic Development (DED) on May 26, 2009, at Intercontinental Festival City hotel.

The awards are part of DED’s ongoing efforts to further enhance the Emirate’s service culture in retail industries, and honour high-performing retail outlets and brands. The winners, who have achieved exceptional service performance levels, have been judged on the basis of mystery shopper input. Over 500 participants from the different retail business sectors in Dubai are expected to attend the ceremony.

“Dubai Service Excellence Scheme aims at encourage and inspire those working in the retail and service sectors to achieve quality and excellence in customer service,” said Mr Khalid Al Kassim, Deputy Director General for Planning and Development at DED. “DSES reiterates our commitment to enhancing the quality level of services in the market, in line with the directives of the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai,” added Mr Al Kassim.

“Since its launch in 2002, the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme has gained tremendous interest from Dubai’s business and trade sectors. The initiative is a golden opportunity to develop synergies and meet and exceed customer satisfaction,” he added.
