The UAE Ministry of Economy, today, organised a workshop on copyrights for female students from the Law Faculty of Emirates University. The workshop aimed at introducing procedures of registering trade marks by linking theory with practical situations.
Senior officials of the Ministry from the Copyrights, Trade Marks and Industrial Property departments showcased the progress and achievements in copyright protection in the UAE. They said that the UAE is considered one of the leading countries in protecting copyrights and stressed the importance of further raising awareness among the public.
They briefed students on the nature of work of the Copyrights and Trade Mark departments.
This workshop comes as part of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthen societal awareness about various economic issues, and to enrich the knowledge of students by providing them the appropriate work experience to enable them to better serve the nation.
