Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition in Dubai

An exhibition of calligraphy and arts by young artists from the UAE and the Middle East is currently on at the Grand Atrium in Dubai Mall till October 3rd. The exhibition titled Letters has been sponsored by Montblanc is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.

Speaking on behalf of the sponsors Montblanc, Regional Brand Director, Joe Nahhas said: “The very foundations of civilization and culture are rooted in language and writing and all enlightening experiences and exciting discoveries have to be recorded before they can be exploited and developed. Knowledge, ability and will are what transcend the individual and distinguish the culture of mankind.” He noted that Montblanc therefore promotes many different international activities that each contribute in their own way to the cultural life of society.

Montblanc recently joined hands with UNICEF in a drive to eradicate illiteracy by pledging a sum of AED 5.5 million ($1.5 million) towards education to ensure that children regardless of their gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background or circumstances have access to quality education.
