Zara Phillips has had a taste of the quintessential Australian landscape and the truly unique experiences provided by Emirates’ new luxury conservation-based resort, Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa.
Miss Phillips, the reigning World Champion in Eventing, was relaxing at the resort after enjoying the highlight of Australia’s sporting and social year, the Emirates Melbourne Cup, from the prestigious Emirates Marquee.
A scenic three-hour drive from Sydney, the resort is located on Australia’s Great Dividing Range between two national parks, and borders the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa is set to be a private hideaway for the international A-list due to its privacy, seclusion and world-class luxury. Officially opening on 3 December, the A$125 million project, built on the same principles as Emirates’ acclaimed Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, features 40 individual secluded suites, and is fully integrated into its environment, supporting wide-ranging conservation practices.
Staying in the exclusive three-bedroom Wolgan Suite, Zara had the opportunity to relax in one of the most beautiful regions of the world, sample local produce and wine, and was also treated to an iconic Australian world-exclusive treatment at the Timeless Spa – the Wattle Seed Renewal Treatment.
“I had an amazing time. It’s so peaceful at Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa and I feel thoroughly relaxed.†Miss Phillips said.
The opening event next month will be hosted by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group. The event will showcase the resort’s world-class facilities and rich cultural heritage, providing guests with an experience that is reflective of Emirates’ warm hospitality.
