Frenchman Gregory Bourdy produced a three-under-par 67 to win the co-sanctioned Hong Kong Open by two strokes from Rory McIlroy.
Bourdy finished with a 19-under-par total of 261 at Fanling Golf Club for his third European Tour title, though Northern Ireland’s McIlroy also had reason to celebrate.
He fired a 64 to finish runner-up and overtake England’s Lee Westwood at the top of Race to Dubai money list ahead of next week’s season-ending Dubai World Championship.
