The Georgian, European and Middle Asian dance performances at Al Rigga as part of this year’s DSF street festivities are dazzling residents and visitors alike. The three performances showcase the amazing dances mainly from the Balkan region. The performances also display traditional music, classical instruments and the colorful ethnic costumes from each region.

Twelve performers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, eleven dancers from Georgia, and Serbian dancers and musicians are performing at Al Rigga this DSF.

These traditional dances are accompanied by traditional musical instruments. The European Dance Show is characterized by music from the flute, accordion and guitars. The Middle Asian Dance Show uses a special kind of violin, accordion and a unique string instrument, and the Georgian Dance Show utilizes recorded music; its dance movements narrate a story about love.

Each group performs twice every night at the main stage in Al Riqqa Road in Deira (opposite the Al Ghurair City). The performances run from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays, and extend to 11pm on weekends.
