Drake and Scull Water and Power (DSWP), a unit of Drake and Scull International (DSI), has announced that it has been awarded the entire utilities development works at the Residential Compound located in Khalifa A City, Abu Dhabi.
Earlier this year, DSWP bagged the contract of district cooling system at the same compound. It will now begin the relevant infrastructure works that include sewer lines, irrigation, telecom services, fire fighting, and all related civil works such as roads and paving.
“This contract marks the eighth for DSI in 2010, bringing the total value of the projects awarded to date to AED 1 billion. These achievements reflect our effective growth strategies for 2010,” said Khaldoun Tabari, CEO and Vice Chairman of DSI.
UAE-based DSWP is undertaking several ventures across the MENA region, Sudan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Their engineering activities include district cooling, wastewater and sludge treatment, telecommunications, energy as well as oil and gas infrastructure.
