Emirates NBD, the largest banking group in the Middle East in terms of assets, announced today the appointment of Talal Al-Mazrooei as Head of Direct Sales, Dubai and Northern Emirates. Al-Mazrooei, who has special expertise in the areas of project management and performance improvement, has contributed greatly towards enhancing the bank’s profile as a provider of excellence in customer service.
Al-Mazrooei, who has significant banking experience in the UAE, will be responsible for growing Emirates NBD’s customer profile across Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Prior to his current appointment, he has served as a senior consultant to the Business Reengineering and Excellence Department at the bank, focused on contributing to the successful conclusion of the merger between Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai.
“With a total of six years of experience at Emirates NBD, Talal Al-Mazrooei has rapidly risen to an important position at the bank,†said Mohammed Al Falasi, Senior Vice President, Head of Direct Sales and Alternative Channels, Emirates NBD. “The appointment of Al Mazrooei to this post reflects both the particular skills and greater capabilities he has developed through the years, as well as Emirates NBD’s larger commitment to the overarching goal of Emiratisation.â€

A doctoral candidate in Operations Management at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom, Al-Mazrooei has earned advanced degrees from Zayed University in the UAE and George Washington University in the United States, where he also received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
Al-Mazrooei began his professional career at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Washington, DC, where he served as an Information Technology Specialist. He began his career at Emirates NBD in 2004, when he was appointed a Project Specialist at Emirates Bank.
