CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group and Emaar Hotels & Resorts honoured as ‘Accomplished Leader’ at Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Awards

Mr. Marc Dardenne, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group and Emaar Hotels & Resorts, has been named ‘Accomplished Leader’ at the Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Awards. The award honours his outstanding leadership skills and success in contributing towards achieving Emaar Hospitality Group’s business goals and the launch of The Address Hotels + Resorts.

Mr. Dardenne received the award from Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University and Professor Marcus Bertin, Member of the Award International Jury, at the gala award ceremony held at The Address Dubai Mall recently.

The Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award honours men and women in the Arab World who are role models in their business and society. The Awards aim at encouraging the growth of organizations in the region and motivates those with positive and influential leadership skills.

Mr. Dardenne said: “This honour is indeed a recognition for the vision and leadership that guides Emaar Hospitality Group. By pioneering landmark developments in the hospitality sector, Emaar sets the platform for teamwork and enterprise to flourish. The community orientation of Emaar is a prime driver that inspires us to bring out the best.”

He added: “Leadership is about understanding your stakeholders vision and acting to ensure their long-term goals. I dedicate this award to every team-member of Emaar Hospitality Group for their commendable contribution to establishing our organisational credentials globally.”

Last year, Mr. Dardenne was awarded “CEO of the Year” by CEO Middle East, and was ranked Number 3 in the Hotelier Middle East’s 50 most influential hoteliers.

Other coveted awards previously won by Emaar Hospitality Group and its properties are: Arabian Business Hospitality Company of the Year, 2008; World Travel Award’s Dubai’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel, Middle East’s Leading New Hotel 2009 and AHIC’S Best New Hotel 2009 for The Address Downtown Dubai; and Dubai’s leading City Resort for The Palace – The Old Town at the World Travel Awards.

A hospitality veteran with over 30 years of international experience, Mr. Dardenne has been instrumental in creating and driving Emaar Hospitality Group’s properties. He has built a world-class team in an extremely short time span across various disciplines of the group, while continuing to expand its extensive roster in the UAE and beyond. He was instrumental in the launch of Emaar’s own lifestyle hotel brand, The Address Hotels + Resorts.
