Canon Strengthens Channel Strategy in Second Half Push

Canon Middle East is targeting strong growth in the second half of 2010 by strengthening its business across it channel partners in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Seizing the opportunity at the recently concluded Digital Consumer Channel Middle East and Africa (DCC MEA) event at the Le Meridien, Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah, attended by leading retailers, vendors and distributors throughout the region, Canon showcased its full range of imaging products in the photo video and office personal products categories, and met key channel partners about achieving its business goals in the remaining months of the year.

“Strengthening our channel relationship is an important aspect of our business growth strategy. The DCC MEA event provided Canon Middle East, an ideal platform to interact with our channel partners and discuss strategies and opportunities for business growth in the second half of 2010 and beyond.” said, Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, B2C Sales Manager (GCC), Canon Middle East.

“Channel focus is the key to better understanding of end-user needs and trends and this enables improvement of end user coverage, which translates into growth in market share. We expect this approach to make a significant contribution to our future growth”, Venkatasubramanian added

Canon also bagged the ‘Retail Vendor of the Year – Imaging’ for the event’s ME Retail Academy 2010 Awards, which recognize vendors that have successfully engaged their retail channels and developed win-win partnerships.
