It’s not just oil and gas that the Gulf has in abundance. It also has another valuable resource – the Sun. But takeup of solar power remains low, often blamed on the cost of installation or a lack of incentives. But as Ben Thompson now reports, the economic downturn has provided the incentive for some firms to go solar.
