With the latest Virus Bulletin test conducted on the Windows Server 2008 R2 platform, Eset wins the 62nd VB100 Award, which makes ESET the recipient of the most consecutive awards of this kind in the industry – 45 in total.
ADAOX Middle East, the regional business development center of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, announced that ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2 was tested by Virus Bulletin (VB) to demonstrate its reliability in protecting businesses and being a reliable partner for IT administrators across a range of corporate environments.
Approximately one-third of all the products submitted for testing failed and hence could not even compete to receive a VB100 recognition. According to John Hawes, Director of testing at VB, such unreliability is particularly significant on server platforms, where administrators require absolute trustworthiness and total trackability of all activities.
ESET NOD32 Antivirus demonstrated conclusively that it is not only a reliable product but it also scores well in terms of the lowest memory usage. John Hawes commented on the results: “… memory usage was fairly low. Detections rates were excellent, showing a continuation of the upward trend seen in the last few tests.â€
