Visitors have been flocking to Mercato lately, as the mall is hosting World of Stories, a signature event of Dubai Summer Surprises.
World of Stories has been built in Mercato around the latest release of Alice in Wonderland , and is meant to take children on a magical journey to meet some of the movie’s characters brought to life on Mercato stage. The event which encompasses Stage shows and musicals, Arts and Crafts workshops, story telling corners has taken the audience by storm. Ms Sana, a visitor from Kuwait said “I am so amazed by the melodic show played on stage, and the enthusiasm children have shown when interacted with the performers on stage. We were overwhelmed by the lovely decor when we first walked into the mall. It’s beautiful and I recommend all families to take a trip down to Mercato to enjoy this imaginary event before it comes to an end on the 29th of June.â€

Its kind of educational event as it’s imparting valuable lessons to children while giving them the opportunity to experience the thrill of tales and fantasies, while watching popular cartoon characters coming alive.
Ms Jaser added, “Since launch of the event in Mercato beginning of this DSS, we have seen families from the GCC countries in the mall as well as residents of the UAE, and we expect World of Stories to attract more visitors next week. From 4:15 onwards, children can look forward to meet and great Alice in Wonderland characters before they take to the stage. Shows timings are 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm.
Children who love arts and crafts can head to the balcony above the stage where the area has been themed on the Mad Hatter’s Tea party from Alice in Wonderland. Numerous arts and crafts activities have been planned throughout the event from 3pm to 5:30pm and from 6pm to 8pm. Moreover, 3D cartoon characters can be found on Mercato balconies, creating the perfect zone for snapshots to remind the visitors with the activity.
In addition, Mercato will have a plethora of events during the coming weeks of DSS which include ‘Sweet Discoveries’, ‘Expeditions of the Arts’, and ‘Ballet and Flamenco’ performances, to name a few.
