Visitors to ‘Me & My Family’, which offers a variety of free recreational, sports and edutainment activities during the summer holiday, now have the option of experiencing a bit of summer fun online by visiting  www.meandmyfamily.ae, a dedicated website created to serve as a guide and provide information to families who wish to visit. The initiative, under the direct supervision of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, underlines the benefits of physical activity and the importance of social interaction among children.
The ‘Me & My Family’ website was designed to attract children and families alike. Easy navigation throughout highlights the initiative’s two unique offerings, the mobile inflatable tent, which continues to travel to remote areas across Dubai and neighborhood fun parks, which brings joy and excitement to families without them having to leave their neighborhood. Visitors to the site will have all the information they need at the simple click of a mouse, including location maps for the mobile inflatable tents and a schedule of activities for the neighborhood fun parks.
To top it all off, visitors to the site can also view the initiative’s exclusive merchandise items, all of which have been made readily available for purchase at the mobile tent and each of the neighborhood fun parks. The branded items of all the ‘Me & My Family’ characters include note pads, key chains, bags, caps and mugs.
‘Me & My Family’ will run from the 13th of June to the 7th of August 2010. Already in its third week, the air-conditioned mobile tent, with its numerous activities from arts and crafts to sports and entertainment, continues to attract families. Currently located in Hatta, the tent will then move to Al Hebab and Al Lisaily over the course of the summer. Also a big success, the neighborhood fun parks, from 5pm-11pm daily, continue to offer activities such as football, water soccer and paintball, to name a few, and are stationed in Nad Al Sheba, Al Wasl, Al Safa 2, Al Barsha Pond Park, Umm Suqeim, Al Satwa, Al Twar 3, Al Garhoud, Nad Shamma, Al Qusais Pond Park , Al Mazher (The Walk) and Al Nahda Pond Park.
‘Me & My Family’ is organized in cooperation with Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and Dubai Municipality as strategic partners, and with the support of Dubai Civil Defence Department, Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Police.
