Emirates News Agency (WAM) has emerged winner of the ‘Best Coverage’ prize for the sixth conference of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work (AUVW), which concluded here last night.
WAM reporter Hussain Al Manaei received the prize last night from Mustafa Abul Moniem, Head of the Arab Centre for Tourism Media (ACTM), in presence of senior Egyptian officials and Yousif Al Kazim, AUVW Chairman.
ACTM Deputy Head Khalid Khalil said WAM’s stories covering the conference coverage were picked up by, and published in over 39 newspapers and news sites, followed by Middle East News Agency (MENA) and the Jordanian News Agency (PETRA).
Chairperson of the Emirates Volunteer Association, Sahar Al Obad lauded the role played by WAM in providing a comprehensive and up to date coverage of the event.
