After a long journey across the Emirate of Dubai, stopping in locations such as Al Aweer, Hatta and Al Hebab, the Me & My Family mobile inflatable tent is now stationed in Al Lisaili until August 7th. The inflatable tent is part of Me & My Family, an initiative under the direct supervision of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is dedicated to delivering great summer fun with free edutainment and sports activities for families and children living in Dubai.
The mobile inflatable tent has witnessed tremendous success among children and families who prefer to stay closer to home during the hot summer months. As part of the offering, the tent is equipped with numerous games and activities such as slides, toys and bouncy rides, cartoon characters, puppet shows, face painting, sand painting, clay workshops and many more edutainment activities. The initiative aims to encourage children to spend less time in front of the TV or computer during the summer holiday and helps them develop habits and healthy routines that will stay with them throughout their lives.
To date, hundreds of families have visited the inflatable tent in its various locations since it first opened on the 13th of June 2010. Families living in Al Lisaili will now get the chance to play, learn and explore new activities while they make more friends and learn how to socially interact with other children.
Me and My Family is organized in cooperation with Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and Dubai Municipality as strategic partners, and with the support of Dubai Civil Defence Department, Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Police.
