- A spectacular line-up of classic cars from passionate collectors to adorn Emaar Boulevard on December 2, 2010
As the UAE celebrates the spirit of unity and solidarity that marks the National Day celebrations on December 2, Emaar Properties is offering a visual treat to visitors to Downtown Dubai, its flagship mega-development.
Emaar is hosting the third edition of its famed Downtown Dubai Classic Car Show from December 2 to 4, 2010. To feature a spectacular line-up of classic cars from passionate collectors, the show is being organised in collaboration with the Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE), the official representative in the UAE of the ‘Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens’ (FIVA), the world-wide authority for historic vehicles and with the support of Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
Hundreds of classic cars from different eras and of varying models will line up at specially erected pavilions on Emaar Boulevard, one of the world’s finest boulevards overlooking Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination.
Colourful parades of the classic cars as well as keenly contested competitions for a range of prizes will add to the excitement. Several private collectors are also expected to showcase their exclusive collections – some on public display for the first time ever.
Mr Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties, said: “With two successful editions, the Downtown Dubai Classic Car Show has established itself as one of the most popular events held in Downtown Dubai, the new heart of the city.
