The thirteenth edition of the Dubai World Dental Meeting – DWDM 2011 started today at the Novotel World Trade Centre Hotel, with more than 6 prominent international experts delivering the latest practices, research and techniques in dentistry.
The DWDM is an educational pre-course meeting, running prior to the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition – AEEDC Dubai, which is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority.
A number of activities are taking place during the DWDM 2011, with a number of lectures and scientific sessions in addition to the hands-on workshops delivered by industry leaders from every corner of the dental profession. The courses will provide a great opportunity for the dentistry professionals participating in the sessions to learn from the leaders of the dental community.
Dr. Nasser Malik, Chairman of AEEDC Conference said “The DWDM program is designed for dentists who aspire to improve themselves and develop their skills in order to meet the commitments of their everyday professional life. More than 300 participants have already booked their seats in these sessions.â€
The DWDM started today where a total of 34 credit hours will be offered for the three-day program. The credit hours were granted by prominent educational and health institutes, like the Dubai Health Authority and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
Dr. Nasser also said that the “AEEDC Specialty Meeting†dedicated two days for Periodontology and Implantology. Speakers will discuss current trends in soft tissue grafts, and the right time to place an implant in addition to other related specialized topics.
DWDM will present 6 of the world’s dental specialists mainly from Portugal, Germany, Canada, and the United States to discuss the latest updates in Implantology, Endodontics, Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
