The Executive Committee of Abu Dhabi Executive Council in its meeting yesterday approved to host the World Bank’s office in Abu Dhabi for a period of ten years in addition to the discussion of certain general topics on the agenda of the meeting which relates to the affairs of the emirate.
The meeting was chaired by Mohammad Ahmad Al Bowardi, Secretary General of the Executive Council and Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The decision is aimed at benefiting from the experiences of the World Bank in preparation for the prospects of the global economy and building the knowledge economy index of the emirate in addition to hosting the Bank’s Annual Conference on Development Economics, which is one of the best conferences for presenting and discussing new ideas for development.
