UAE team continues relief operations in Libya

In line with the directives of President his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, the UAE relief team continued delivering aid to the people affected by the current events in Libya.

According to the team leader Brigadier Abdul Rahman Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz, the UAE is working to enter relief materials and medical items to Libya through Al Saloum Crossing, Turkey and the Libyan-Tunisian borders.
He said that two camps were erected to accommodate 7,000 people fleeing Libya to Tunisia.

The relief team consists of personnel from the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation, the UAE Red Crescent Authority and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Charitable ‘&’ Humanitarian Works.
