Lexus drove to the top spot in the 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study (IQS) released in the US last week, giving the luxury automobile brand its 13th such honour in 22 years.

Distributed exclusively in the UAE by Al-Futtaim Motors, Lexus received the 2011 IQS awards for four models, making it the only vehicle with the least amount of problems with 73 problems per 100 vehicles (PP100). The industry average is 107 problems per 100 vehicles.

These awards include Lexus ES for Entry Premium car; Lexus GS for Midsize Premium Car; Lexus GX for Midsize Premium Crossover/SUV; and the Lexus LS for Large Premium Car. The Lexus GS and GX rank highest in their respective segments for a third consecutive year.

Simon Frith, Managing Director Al Futtaim Motors said: “We are delighted that Lexus has achieved the highest ranking in the J D Power and Associates Initial Quality Study for the 13th year running. Lexus has held great positions from the first year it was eligible for consideration, and we are proud to be associated with such a top performing brand.”
