Volunteer recruitment drives for the eighth Dubai International Film Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, will be held from November 12 to 14, 2011, at the Knowledge Village auditorium.
The three volunteer sessions will offer hundreds the opportunity to be part of the anticipated December 7 to 14 event.
The first recruitment session on Saturday, November 12, (from 11am to 1pm), is for UAE nationals only; the second, from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday, November 13, is for returning volunteers; and the final session on from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, November 14, is open for all and for new volunteers.
Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of departments at DIFF including theatre operations, box office and customer service, red carpet assistance, events and logistics, marketing, registration and accreditation, guest relations and hospitality, human resources and volunteer department and the Dubai Film Market, among others.
All those interested must register online at www.dubaifilmfest.com and confirm their attendance at one of the three sessions to diffvolunteer@tecom.ae. Successful applicants will receive orientation training prior to the opening of the Festival. All applicants must be over 15 and have a good command of English; additional languages are a plus.
DIFF is held in association with Dubai Studio City.
