On the evening of the GCC Summit, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum assured that Arab must work together or lose together. His Highness called Arab countries to take initiatives; he said “initiative is magic, intellect and strength” considering that “neither machine nor money but rather man make success and build future”.
In a special speech released by UAE Ministry of Finance about the GCC financial and economic integration, His Highness assured that the unity experiment of the GCC countries is revolutionary by all measures.
His Highness said: “despite the achievements, we believe there is much more to accomplish, depending on God, and driven by our will to build our own future, realize nations’ ambitions and provide prosperity and stability, so nations focus their efforts to build and develop on the economic and social aspects initiating from the fact that human factor is the base element and backbone of any civilization. To achieve this noble objective, we as leaders, worked hard for the best public interest to make people happier; and to achieve that we must give top priority to human development and that is the main stream of our vision”.
His Highness highlighted the financial crisis that overwhelmed the entire world and the developments taking place in the Arab World that require us to understand what is happening around us and to build our institutions to keep up with any urgent matters that might surprise us despite of their source or purpose.
His Highness said: “there is no way to confront that unless with collective, serious and fruitful work and to seek converting to knowledge base economy, as soon as possible, to preserve leadership and sustain development and prosperity”.
His Highness also brought attention to the expansion in knowledge gap that deprive most of the developing countries from real participation in the new global economy which expose these countries to several threats that start with economy and spread to include stability and security.
His Highness the Prime Ministry assured that the Gulf Economic Community is an ambition project that shall shore up opportunities to best utilize human and financial resources through implementation of GCC workforce naturalization and support the role of GCC countries regionally and internationally.
His Highness concluded: “as we understand challenges and despite hinders, we believe ‘impossible’ does not exist in leaderships’ dictionary; faith, will and perseverance can overcome all of that, so we can be the role model for all those who aspire development and prosperity.
