Dubai World Cup general admission ticket sales at Meydan
Spectators at the 2012 Dubai World Cup meeting at Meydan Racecourse on March 31st will be able to employ skill or luck to pick winners and earn rewards from an AED 200,000 (US$54,794) Pick Seven prize pool.
The Dubai Racing Club (DRC) has boosted the Pick Seven cash prizes for the popular free-to-enter competition by 100 percent. The Pick Seven competition will operate on the final seven events of the nine race card scheduled for the 17th renewal of the world’s richest race meeting, the Dubai World Cup. The increased Pick Seven pool compliments the record prizemoney on offer for the racing, which with the addition of the ninth race this year, the Dubai Gold Cup, has now reached a record level of US$27.25 million.
The Pick Seven is a highly popular part of the Dubai World Cup (DWC) race meeting with spectators challenged to select the winners of the seven selected races. The highest portion of the prize pool is naturally offered to those who may find all seven winners on their entry card though healthy returns can also go to those who select six, five or, on a particularly difficult night, even four winners.
The DRC has also announced the introduction of an AED 25 General Admission charge for the public areas of the racecourse on DWC day though children under 12-years of age will be admitted free.
Malih Lahej Al Basti, Board Member of the Meydan Group and Dubai Racing Club commented, “The Dubai World Cup serves as truly an international event for the biggest stars of horseracing. The night offers the highest level of racing and so much more. It is a spectacle not to be missed, with entertainment, racing and fashion all coming together for this wonderful event. We continue to welcome the people of Dubai and the world to experience this event, and our implemented policy of a general admission charge will help ensure the world-class level of entertainment that this event represents.
All General Admission tickets will be pre-sold on all race nights, starting February 9 at the ticket pavilion adjacent Gate B. No General Admission tickets will be available on Dubai World Cup Day.

Purchasers of tickets for all sections of the racecourse will have a chance to take part in the Al Basti Equiworld Lucky Draw, a popular attraction at all Meydan racemeetings, which for the 2012 DWC will offer cash prizes totaling AED 30,000 (US$8,219). Children under the age of 12, that receive free admission, will not be eligible for tickets to the Al Basti Equiworld Lucky Draw.
