Debut fashion event to highlight evolution of traditional abaya
Grace & Garbo, Dubai based lifestyle PR agency has announced the launch of its cultural exchange platform “Evolving Influence”, a forum that promotes culture through fashion. Supported my Sheikh Mohamed Centre of Cultural Understanding, the debut event will be held at the Pullman Hotel, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai on 15th April 2012 from 6:30pm onwards and will highlight the evolution of the traditional abaya with designers Amal Murad, Sarah Madani and Rabia Z taking to the panel.
Evolving Influence aims to bring communities together by developing series of activities that will promote culture, social and information exchange together with traditional fashion. As more and more designers seek inspiration from ethnic garments, Evolving Influence main objective is to invite diverse groups to a panel for discussion and interaction.
“Being such a cosmopolitan country, we are exposed to diverse nationalities and cultures making the UAE a great location for cultural exchange. With the evolution of the fashion industry in the region, we wanted to develop an interactive cultural forum where designers could be at the forefront to drive cultural understanding. The participating fashion designers are diverse in their abaya presentation, making Evolving Influence a great platform to promote dialogue. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to brands like Pullman Hotel who continue to support our efforts throughout” said Rahma Himid, Founder, Grace & Garbo.
Evolving Influence will be held on 15th April 2012 at Pullman Hotel, Mall of the Emirates Dubai from 6.30pm onwards. The event is free of charge and open to the general public however prior registration is necessary; to register please contact Joan@graceandgarbo.com or call 050 2821745.
