dnata, one of the world’s largest combined air services providers, has been appointed as a Passenger Sales Agent (PSA) for Costa Cruises, the leading cruise Company in Europe and first cruise operator to have established regular itineraries out of Dubai.
Costa has been a forerunner in developing the UAE as a cruise destination, offering a range of cruise packages to some of the most fascinating travel destinations in the world, including: Western and Eastern Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, Baltic, Western and Eastern Caribbean, Red and Arabic Sea, Atlantic, Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
dnata and Costa have a well-established working relationship, with dnata providing full ground handling services to Costa for the past six years. The new PSA agreement with Costa is a complementary addition to the increasing portfolio of GSA and PSA relationships that dnata maintains, which means dnata customers now have even more leisure options to choose from when booking their next holiday.
“As a travel management company we are dedicated to ensuring only the finest travel products are available for our customers” said Nathan Adams, Head of Non-Air travel, dnata. “We expect the rapid growth of the UAE as a cruise destination to continue; Costa’s packages are amongst the best in the industry, so this will be a welcome extension to our existing cruise business.”
“dnata’s extensive network and renowned brand within the Middle East markets certainly represent a golden opportunity to help us communicate loud and clear to all local travellers the advantages and the uniqueness of Costa’s service and atmosphere to be enjoyed on all itineraries around the world as well as on cruises from Dubai and Abu Dhabi” added Dario Rustico, Sales and Marketing Central Europe, Africa, Middle East and India Director.
The cruise industry has been gaining in popularity for the Middle East market in recent years. In line with the increased interest, dnata has appointed a dedicated cruise specialist to help meet the individual needs of each customer.
