The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination has announced its participation in Dubai Events & Promotions Establishment’s (DEPE) Eid Al Adha celebrations initiative, with 24-hour continuous operations during three consecutive weekends from October 18 to November 4, 2012.
Visitors to The Dubai Mall will now have the unprecedented opportunity to enjoy the full spectrum of shopping and leisure attractions round-the-clock over the weekends, during Eid Al Adha. It is the first time that all aspects of the mall – including the 1,200 retail outlets and the varied must-visit leisure attractions will operate through the day and night on weekends, thus providing visitors more reason to rejoice with family and friends. They can indulge in shopping with special offers deals, great festive entertainment; dine out at their favourite restaurants and food courts as well as stand to win attractive prizes through raffle draws.
The Dubai Mall is a Strategic Partner of DEPE events and the decision to operate the malls for 24-hours on weekends follows the recent announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to extend Eid in Dubai celebrations.
During the Eid in Dubai celebrations, on October 18 and 19, 25 and 26, and November 1 and 2, 2012, The Dubai Mall will be operating for 24 hours, while on weekdays the mall will be open from 10am to 1am for retail outlets, and until 3am for food courts and restaurants.
All leisure and entertainment attractions within The Dubai Mall will also be open during the 24-hour weekends. These include: Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, featuring a 270-degree walkthrough tunnel and the world’s largest viewing panel; KidZania®, an innovative children’s ‘edutainment’ concept; SEGA Republic, a 76,000 sq ft indoor theme park; the 22-screen Reel Cinemas; and the Olympic-sized Dubai Ice Rink.
Visitors to The Dubai Mall can also take delight in an array of activities including roaming entertainment and special events highlighting the cultural traditions of the region. More details will be announced in due course.

Located in the heart of the prestigious Downtown Dubai mixed-use development, The Dubai Mall features retail outlets, two anchor department stores and over 160 food and beverage outlets.
