The latest by Disney is the 3D computer-animated comedy called Wreck-It Ralph. The movie is based on a video game and it is about a villain in an arcade game. However, this character doesn’t like his evil role and wants to be seen as a hero. The movie already premiered on October 29 (in the US on November 2) and it quickly attracted the attention of both kids and parents. Wreck-It Ralph’s cast includes names like John C Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Sarah Silverman and the one and only Jane Lynch.
Princess movie fans will be happy to hear that this November Disney will premiere Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess. The film tells the story of little Sofia, whose life transforms when her mother marries a king and then goes to live in a castle. The movie promises to be highly musical and entertaining. The main characters in Sofia the First are voiced by Ariel Winter, Sara Ramirez, Darcy Rose Byrnes and the famous fashion consultant Tim Gunn.
Another Disney children’s film to expect is Monsters University. Critics expect it to become a hit summer movie. Monsters University is the sequel of Monsters, Inc. and it will be released in June 2013. This time around the story is set 10 years before the actions in the first movie. It shows how the main characters, Mike and Sulley, turn from enemies to friends. The movie was directed by Dan Scanlon. Among the actors in the movie are John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Jennifer Tilly, Dave Foley and the legendary Steve Buscemi.
Towards the end of 2013, Disney will show release an animation movie based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story ‘The Snow Queen’. The film is about a boy who is kidnapped by one very evil queen and a girl’s attempt to save him. The director of the movie is Chris Buck who is known for his work on other Disney animations like Tarzan and Surf’s Up. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff will voice the main characters in the story.
