A high-end multi-purpose Maritime Business Centre within the iconic Dubai Maritime City (DMC) was opened today H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group and Chairman of Dubai World.
The Centre will form the nucleus of the City, which is evolving rapidly into a hub of maritime commerce, business and trade with a series of leading regional and international companies setting shop within the District, recently.
“All components have fallen into place as envisaged within our long term strategy for Dubai Maritime City, which is to develop the mixed-use maritime hub as a key contributor to the country’s economy as a driving force behind the growth and progress of maritime and relevant business in the region. The opening of the Maritime Business Centre will greatly facilitate the growth of the City,” Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World Khamis Juma Buamim said.
The top-notch Centre is strategically located in the middle of DMC, which at a mid-way point between Port Rashid and Drydocks World and is readily accessible. The Building comprises of ten floors, including three floors of dedicated parking and seven floors of over 80,000 sq.ft. of office space. The Centre offers an expansive sea view, in addition to a panoramic view of Dubai and has several amenities. The structure is built to Green Building concept and techniques and has open plan offices.
The Maritime Business Centre will host the sales and marketing of Dubai Maritime City, governmental and international maritime agencies and all other important Customer Services activities. 63 top maritime companies and representatives offices will be located at the Maritime Business Centre. It is also envisaged that the Maritime Golden Anchor Club will be built next to the Centre to cater for business events, leisure and entertainments of the Maritime World.
