However, rumour has it that the search engine  giant is planning to launch a physical Google Wallet card. The story hit the headlines after pictures of such a card were published online.

According to sources, the card will require no special technology and will be accepted everywhere (or somewhere at least in the beginning). The new Google Wallet application will enable people to connect their credit and debit cards with their Wallet profile. In that way they won’t need to constantly carry all of their cards, because they could access them through their Google Wallet plastic card.

Another advantage of the new card may be that it would give users the opportunity to receive exclusive offers and deals.

Currently, Google Wallet works with debit and credit cards from the providers MasterCard, American Express, Visa and Discover. For now, the app can run only on Android devices. Not long ago, Google stated its plans to make Wallet a could service.

Last week, the giant unveiled a new Wallet app for Internet commerce. The new version of the application can be ordered on Google’s Wallet site. With it people need to tap the backside of their mobile device at the point of sale to pay whenever they want buy something. Thanks to the service Near field communication (NFC), the app sends payment information in the most private and secure way possible. Whenever that happens, customers get a message that confirms the operation. At this point, we cant give you an example for such service in Dubai.

The NFC technology allows the Wallet app to send information from one object to another. For that to happen, the devices need to be situated close to each other. Mobile phones which use NFC, can work with other NFC devices. In addition, they can also read data from the so-called smart tags.

Right now Google is working with many international online retailers in attempt to introduce and popularize its Internet payment to the public.
