Moevenpick Hotels and Resorts The lunar New Year is approaching and celebrating Chinese New Year has always been equated with a big meal, so the Chinese community across Dubai is springing for lavish dinners. Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate is offering two options for you to immerse yourself in a Chinese cultural experience at Al Bahou and Shanghai Chic restaurant.

Let the feast begin Al Bahou: Chinese Friday brunch on the 8th of February –

In the imposing elegance of Al Bahou and its 88 magical Middle Eastern lanterns, a culinary showcase will be displayed from five of the hotel’s restaurants, resulting in over a dozen live cooking stations that feature Chinese, Indian, Italian, Arabic and North African cuisines: An impressively diverse choice of dim sum is offered , Peking duck, dedicated sushi station, seafood and oyster ice bar, original shawarmas, live carvery, fragrant Moroccan tajines, Indian tandoor curries and Arabic ouzi are just some of the highlights. The dessert room has an equally extensive variety with chocolate fountains, cakes, tarts, brownies, fruit, jellies and macarons. Various fun-filled activities are staged for children, giant jumping castle, indoor cinema, separate kids’ buffet and access to the Camel Kids Club is complimentary. Young explorers can also visit the petting zoo where ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits and puppies and more can be seen.

On Friday 8th of February, from 12.30 to 4.00 pm. You can choose between several free-flowing drinks packages including AED 295 with soft drinks, AED 395 with free alcoholic house and sparkling beverages or AED 495 with French bubbly, per person. Teens up until 17 years can dine for AED 145 and AED 95 for children between 6 to 12 years old eat for, little ones eat for free.

Chinese authenticity at Shanghai Chic- Chef Pele Khor invites you to commence the New Year in style at Shanghai Chic with an extravagant set menu featuring luscious dishes: Modern Chinese Happiness Prosperity ‘Yu Shang” or Braised sea-treasures creamy soup to start with, try one of the New year specialty platters: Baked crabmeat with cheese in pastry crust, or Chilled jelly fish with roasted duck meat in spicy sauce, for main courses, savour the Sauteed asparagus & prawn in pumpkin sauce, Steamed cod-fish with osmanthus fragrans sauce and Stir-fry mixed vegetables in taro case, get a sweet end with the Papaya &white fungus with ice-cream.

From 9th to 11th February, for only AED188 per person with soft drinks and AED288 with free flowing alcoholic beverages. *A la carte menu is also available.
