The International CES 2013 takes place this week in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show includes over 3,230 participants. They are exhibiting their products on an area of 1.9 million square feet. This is more than the record-breaking exhibition space from the 2012 CES.
The tech show started with press events this Sunday. Over 70 companies took part in them and unveiled their newest inventions. In addition, on CES 2013 Press Day, there were about 30 exhibitors who released new products.
CES 2013 (Consumers Electronics Show) is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). CES is known as the biggest yearly tech event. This year’s show will continue until January 11 (Friday). Around 20,000 tech products are expected to be unveiled before the end of the event.
The show is filled with big names and with teaser videos from two soon-to-be-released film productions. Also, a number of celebrities visited the event. Among them were NASCAR’s Marc Jenkins and Brad Keselowski, directors Guillermo Del Toro, Scott Chambers, Star Trek star Alice Eve, as well as Sesame Street’s Big Bird.
The top trends at CES 2013 are hybrid tablets, mobile apps and solutions, ultra-HDTV, as well as flexible touch screens. On January 7 (Monday), even more products were included to the CES 2013 exhibition.
Here are some of the most anticipated products revealed so far at 2013 CES:
- Samsung LED F800 – This Smart TV has voice recognition and it comes in 5 different sizes (46”, 55”, 60”, 65” and 75”).
- LG 55” OLED TV – This is a smart Ultra HDTV. It will be released in three models (55”, 65”, 84”).
- Monster – The company will present new a number of new products and designs. Among them are headphones designed by Nick Cannon. The new product will be called NCredible.
- VOXX NM100 – a back view navigation.
- Livio – FM Connect allows people who listen to FM radio in their cars to connect to FM broadcasts. For that purpose, they use a dashboard and a smartphone connected to it via Bluetooth.
- Huawei’s Ascend Mate – This is 6.1” smartphone. Its impressive displace size makes the device the biggest smartphone in the world.
- Panasonic’s new TV series – Panasonic will unveil High Efficient LED TVs. They will cut down user’s power consumption with 15%. Also, they are ENERGY STAR 6.0 certified. The new Panasonic TVs are DR60, ZT60, WT60 and ST60.
- Intel’s Perceptual Computing – this technology will introduce human interfaces in computing, facial recognition, voice, gestures and touch.
- FujiFilm’s new cameras – FujiFilms will show off two new camera devices – X20 and X100S. They will have shutter lag time of 0.1 seconds and startup time of 0.5 seconds.
- DISH Network – DISH Anywhere make live TV and DVR mobile. The product is powered by Hopper with Sling.
- Limitless Computing – VYZAR – This is a reality technology in 3D and it is based on geographical location.
