The United Arab Emirates is one of the preferred destinations for education. A research conducted by Deloitte and Dubai International Academic City found that many students from the Arab world want to continue with their education in the Gulf country.

What is more interesting is that the UAE is even more preferred education destination than countries like Australia, Singapore and China. The Middle Eastern country’s education in fields like management, science, economics and finance is valued really high by foreign Arab students.

The study was based on the opinions of 2,400 students who came from different parts of the Arab world. The majority of international students believed that Dubai is the best place in the UAE to study. What is more, the research also interviewed various companies of which 60% also pointed Dubai as a city with good or outstanding education opportunities.

The most positive opinion of the UAE and Dubai had participants from India. This is because the concentration of rich Indian expats in Dubai is extremely high. However, many Indian students come to UAE, with a stronger academic background and outperform local peers. However, this released data can be successfully used by the Gulf country to lure even more students from that Middle Eastern and NOrth African regions.

However, the attraction found in education in UAE is mostly based on preferences for new campuses and the country’s safe haven reputation. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority of the City of Gold found that last year the number of students who have enrolled in Dubai’s education institutions has increased with more than 10%. That was even more noticeable in the local universities and colleges. Moreover, higher education institutes in Dubai have increased their capacity with over 31% for only half a decade.

Institutions which are following western programs and standards are enjoying the biggest popularity. Statistics reveal that they enroll nearly 20% more students compared to other schools and universities. Education in Dubai is a big business and sadly many private investors see it only as a rich turf for profits.
