A brand new theme park will soon open doors in Dubai. The facility is called IMG Worlds of Adventure (IMGWOA) and it is developed by IMG Group. It is expected that Worlds of Adventure will be ready to welcome its first visitors at the beginning of 2014.
The theme park will be situated in City of Arabia, in close proximity to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (previously knows under the name Emirates Road). According to IMG Group it will be the biggest temperature-controlled indoor entertainment destination not only in the Middle East, but also in the world. IMG Worlds of Adventure will cover a total area of 1.5 million square feet. In addition, it will have a capacity of 20,000 visitors per day.
The facility will be divided into four separate zones which will focus on different themes and attractions. They will include a Cartoon Network Zone, a MARVEL Zone, an IMG entertainment zone, as well as a zone called The Lost Valley. Also, from IMG Group plan to soon announce the construction of a few more additional sections of the park.
Cartoon Network Zone
This part of Dubai’s Worlds of Adventure will occupy 230,000 square feet and it will include a number or one-of-a-kind attractions. Among them will be the first Ben 10 five-dimensional ride, as well as the biggest Ben 10 retail store. However, the zone will also feature many other popular CN brands like Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball and Lazy Town.
MARVEL Zone
This will be the largest zone of the theme park. It will cover an impressive area of 350,000 square meters and it will offer a huge variety of interactive entertainment experiences which will include popular MARVEL characters. In addition to that, this part of IMG World of Adventure will have dining facilities which will provide a wide choice of international cuisine. Also, the zone will feature retail outlets and MARVEL merchandise.
The MARVEL Zone is not a shot in the dark. UAE is home to many MARVEL fans. Marvel’s film production The Avengers managed to break the amazing 30 box office records both in the country and the Middle East region.
The Lost Valley Zone
The third zone will spread across 270,000 square meters and it will offer different exciting experiences. Its key attraction will be the ride ‘The Velociraptor Launch Coaster.’ This section of Worlds of Adventure will open a door that will lead visitors back to the lost world of dinosaurs. The zone is said to include attraction that will be realistic to their smallest detail. From IMG Group promise that The Lost Valley will offer visitors many thrilling experiences, as well as a kick of adrenaline. The section will be a mixture of dramatic lighting, unique attractions, audio-visual effects and extremely entertaining content. Moreover, Worlds of Adventure’s visitors will be able to see all types and sizes of animatronic dinosaurs.
IMG Entertainment Zone
The Entertainment Zone will be smallest in size and it will take 200,000 square meters. Despite that, however, it will feature a wide range of attractions, interactive entertainment experiences, as well as dining and retail complexes.
And if that was not enough, right next to IMG Worlds of Adventure there will be a 12-screen cinema. According to IMG Group, the facilities and the attractions in the theme park will come at very compatible prices and will not be overpriced.
It is predicted that IMG Worlds of Adventure will enjoy a good popularity due not just to its attractions and theme zones, but also to its accessible key location.
