One of the leading fashion resources for women, Harper’s Bazaar, launched its World of Fashion event yesterday at the Mall of the Emirates. Hosting more than 20 catwalk shows, the week-long event will bring their view on Autumn/Winter trends and fashion statements to Dubai. It will also introduce their Harper’s Bazaar Exhibition and the World of Fashion Studio. Besides contemporary brands such as Bebe, Katakeet, or Salsa, designers Gianvito Rossi and Ingie Chalhoub will be displaying their collections. Arabic pop superstar and beauty Nancy Arjam will be also one of the highlights during the Harper’s Bazaar World of Fashion.
Who says runway shows should be exclusive events for fashion industry insiders? For the first time in the Middle East, fashion gurus Vogue Italia are coming in Dubai. On October 10, Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience will kick off at the Dubai Mall, packed with events and shows to promote education in developing countries. We must admit that although very noble, their cause is what attracts us there, but the extraordinary fair full of activities and merchandise for sale. The Fashion Avenue will host a catwalk featuring emerging designers introduced by Eva Riccobono. Visitors will enjoy the specially decorated Dubai Mall, while the Grand Atrium will host an exhibition of 50 of the best Vogue covers of all time. Many of the stores will take part with merchandise by leading brands such as Just Cavalli, Donna karan, Chloe, Christian Audigier, Karren Millen, Nine West, Porsche Design, Mango, Diesel, Boggi, Esprit, Tommy Hilfiger, Zara, TOMFORD, and many others. For four days, from October 15-18, fashion lovers will enjoy the second season of Fashion Forward. The biggest fashion platform in Dubai and the Middle East is known for its many catwalk presentations, parties, and social events. Inspiring and encouraging regional talent and industry, Fashion Forward will showcase works by top local designers – Essa, Kage, Dima Ayad, Madiya Al Sharqi, Tahir Sultan, Endemage, Amira Haroon, Starch Foundation and others. Accessories designers will also take part in the programme – The Garden, The Fashion Gallery, and Fashion Café.
