Dubai has been named one of the ‘52 Top Places to Go in 2014’ by the New York Times. The city has been ranked 23rd in the list and is selected amongst other destinations including Seychelles, Cape Town and California.

The entry highlights the Emirate’s winning bid to host Expo 2020 and Dubai’s Vision for Tourism 2020 as well as some key developments such as Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport, new hotels such as Conrad Dubai, JW Marriott Marquis and upcoming attractions such as IMG Worlds of Adventure.

HE Helal Saeed Almarri, director-general of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing said: “We are honoured to have been chosen as one of the top destinations to visit in 2014. The last year was successful for Dubai, with winning the Expo 2020 bid and announcement of our Vision for Tourism 2020 among other milestones. This confirms that our hard work is paying off.”
