Amazon.com is now fully prepared to welcome the wearable technology trend. The largest online retailer has launched a whole section on its global store entirely dedicated to wearable gadgets. It bears the easy-to-remember name Amazon Wearable Technology
According to Amazon, the store’s opening was a result of consumers’ growing interest towards this new niche in personal electronics. In addition, from the company shared that they believe that wearable technology has already managed to find a place on the mass market.
What is particularly interesting about the Amazon Wearable Technology store is that it differs from the other product section on the retailer’s website. As a start, it has a Learning Center that comes with a Video Library and Buying Guides. Through it, shoppers to learn more about wearable electronics. They can watch videos like “Introduction to Wearable Technology,” “Wearable Device for Family and Kids,” “Smartwatches,” as well as sneak peak videos of upcoming wearable technology products. Consumers can also read various informative texts on wearable devices. Amazon.com has also set up a special Editor’s Corner, where buyers can read new commentaries written by technology experts and analysts.
The store is organized into different categories some of which sound quite interesting. For instance, you can browse through sections like Wearable for Babies from where you can order innovative baby monitors. Pet owners, on the other hand, can now get a smart dog harness from Amazon Wearable Technology’s section Wearables for Pets. Unfortunately, however, the store does not offer a section for smart glasses.

According to John Nemeth, director of Amazon’s Wireless and Mobile Electronics department, Amazon Wearable Technology store has the largest selection of wearable computers.
