Dubai International Airport was chosen Best Airport in Europe, Middle East and Africa by the readers of Frequent Business Traveler. Each year, the prestigious awards name the world’s best hotels, airlines, travel blogs, restaurants and more.
The winners were announced recently at the 2014 GlobeRunner Awards in New York City after more than 150,000 readers of Frequent Business Traveler voted online. One of the leaders this year is no doubt Hilton, which for the third year in a row wins as the Best Hotel Chain in the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Hilton also tops the lists with awards for the Best Hotel Dining Program and the Best Hotel Loyalty Program. Delta Airlines together with United Airlines are chosen Best Airline in the Americas, while LOT Polish Airlines is best in EMEA and Singapore Airlines is No.1 carrier in the Asia and Pacific region.
Dubai and the UAE are also entering the prestigious ranking with Etihad Airways winning in the Best Business Class Lounges category, while Dubai International Airport voted Best Airport in EMEA. Dubai-based Emirates didn’t make it to the this year’s list, although in 2012 it was awarded best airline in the EMEA, while in 2013 it took home Best Airline Food and Wine prize.
