Dubai Summer Surprises is one of the most anticipated summer events in UAE, particularly for kids and bargain hunters. Every year the event becomes more interesting and this year the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has even published a free guide to DSS 2014.
The official guide for the 17th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises offers a detailed information on all the promotions and attractions that will take place during the event. In addition, it provides a list and details on all the participating souqs and shopping malls, as well as the discounts and the prizes they offer to shopaholics. There is also some information on Dubai’s most popular attractions and various tips for tourists in Dubai and maps of the area.
The DSS guide is available for free in English and Arabic. It can be found at a number of spots in the emirate, including participating malls and stores, hotels, as well as at Dubai International Airport.
Guide to DSS’ Hottest Prizes
As every year, Dubai Shopping Surprises’ highlight are the raffles and the prizes. According to the event’s official guide, AED 2 million will be given away by its end. Prizes vary from vouchers, free services, parking cards, coupons and even cars. This year, 6 luxury BMW cards will go to six lucky shoppers. A raffle for the flashy rides will be organized every week in Saturday, until 6 September. The winner in the final raffle will get a BMW X5. Those, who want to get the chance to win a new car, have to spend at least AED 200 in the participating stores.
Another attractive promotion is Enoc’s “Shop and Live for Free.” The winner will get vouchers for grocery shopping, car lease, home rent, telecom service, schools fees and many others for one whole year. The prize is worth AED 200,000.
Many stores will organize their own exclusive offers and raffles. Most of them will give away shopping vouchers between AED 100 and AED 500.
Even shoppers who did not manage to walk away with a prize from Dubai Shopping Surprises 2014 will get a second chance to test their luck. Some participating brands, like Zoom, will hold additional raffles for consumers who did not win but have participated in previous promotions.
This year’s edition of Dubai Summer Surprises promises to be the biggest and most successful one. It is estimated that each DSS visitor spends an average of AED 1,692 during the event.
