Dubai’s Burj Al Arab, known as the world’s most luxurious hotel, will mark its 15th anniversary this December. For this purpose, the hotel has launched an early celebratory package for anyone who wished to experience ultimate luxury… or just half of it.
Burj Al Arab’s anniversary package is called “Best of the Burj” and it promises visitors to an opportunity to “indulge in luxury at its best.” As you can imagine, the offer includes everything from royal-style transportation to the hotel, dining experience and accommodation.
As a start, visitors will be welcomed by a white Rolls-Royce Phantom. Their personal driver will take them to the world’s only “seven-star” hotel. There, they will stay at an opulent 170 sq. m. luxury suite that spans over two floors and has views to the Arabian Gulf. The rooms will, of course, come with a private butler who will willing serve and help the lucky guests.
In addition to that, Burj Al Arab visitors who choose to book this ultra luxury package will enjoy an exquisite dining experience at the hotel’s Al Mahara restaurant. After that, they will have the chance to get a massage combining Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu and Balinese techniques at Burj Al Arab’s spa.
Since this is a luxury package, the starting price tag is well-matched at AED 5,990 per night or a little over $1,630. Moreover, the pack requires a minimum stay of two nights. This means that you will need to prepare at least AED 11,980 if you want to take advantage of this offers.
But if that is the price of the ultimate luxury and the best of the Burj, then it should be worth it. That is unless the price is even higher.
The Real Price of Luxury
If you truly want to experience the opulence of Burj Al Arab, you will need to book the hotel’s The Royal Suite. That will cost you at least $18,716 per night, since this is the hotel’s biggest and most luxurious suite. It spans over 780 square meters and it is among the world’s most expensive suites.
Your arrival to the hotel could be even more memorable (and pricey) if you replace the Rolls Royce with a helicopter. Burj Al Arab’s most spectacular airport transfer offer features a helicopter. The starting price of this arrival is AED 10,000, whereas the Rolls Royce Phantom transfer starts at AED 900 and reaches up to AED 1,300.
Now draw the line and you will quickly see that the truly ultimate experience in Burj Al Arab will cost you at least 6 – 7 times more than the price of the “Best of the Burj” package. Still, only a handful of people would be able to afford such an experience, let alone be in celebratory spirit while doing it. Therefore, this luxury on a “budget” may actually make more sense.
