The next-generation iPhone and Apple’s first wearable device might be more than technology gadgets. According to latest reports, the U.S. company will attempt to tap into the fashion industry through its upcoming product lineup.

Among them are said to be both fashion editors and bloggers. That is something unusual for the technology company. In fact, such a move would have been unusual for any other technology company. Apple did not release any comments on the news.
Is Apple preparing to introduce its first clothing line? That is very doubtful. The more probable scenario is that the company will unveil electronic devices that will have a more fashionable look. Reuters also reports that fashion magazine Marie Claire’s features and special projects director, Lea Goldman, has also been invited to the technology giant’s upcoming product launch. According to Goldman, Apple’s will try to charm the fashion industry with its wearable gadgets.

In addition to that, the iWatch may rock a curved and flexible display.

However, the invitations to the fashion press are not the only thing that hints at Apple’s new focus. Reuters shares that, in August, the company held a special low-key event in its New York Apple Store. There, the U.S. giant presented a number of retail and fashion applications to style editors.
Also, over the last year or so, Apple has been hiring an increasing of fashion professional. For instance, the company’s team was joined by Burberry Inc.’s former chief executive, Tag Heuer’s former vice president of glbal sales and retail, as well as the former CEO of Yves Saint Laurent. In addition to that, it was recently announced that Apple has also hired industrial designer Marc Newson.
Meanwhile, lines have already started to form up in front of Apple Stores. Apple’s event is scheduled to take place on September 9 and it is expected to focus on the company’s two iPhone 6 models, as well as on its first wearable device.
